About
Blossom is our first portable, cordless light, now available in a new Black Red colourway, uniting traditional craftsmanship with the latest LED technology. The purposely petite design is inspired by the plum blossom, with its fluted bone china shade echoing the outlines of delicate petals, topped with a satin brass detail.
Developed with functionality and flexibility in mind, Blossom moves effortlessly from the dining table to the living room, hallway or garden, while also bringing atmosphere to a restaurant or hotel lobby. Three brightness levels offer a choice of illumination, from a soft, warm glow to sufficient light for dining or entertaining. The solid, powder-coated stem and metal base sit comfortably in the hand. Created for the bar at Decorex 2025 scheme by Lucy Mayers of Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, the new Black Red finish brings another distinctive expression to the design. Blossom brings together the Original BTC Group’s best-of-British manufacturing capabilities, with the bone china shade crafted by hand in Stoke-on-Trent and the LED light source also manufactured in the UK. Charged via USB-C, Blossom has a 7-hour run time on full brightness, extending to an impressive 20 hours on the lowest setting. The battery can be replaced at the end of its lifetime.
Manufacturing
Blossom’s bone china shade is manufactured according to traditional methods by our highly skilled team in Stoke-on-Trent, where now only a handful of ceramic factories exist. The process begins with a slip (clay and water mix) being poured into moulds. Once set, the moulds are split and the shade, base or ceiling rose is removed and left overnight to dry before being sponged and fettled to remove any imperfections.
The shades are finally biscuit fired for a natural white finish. The LED light source is made by our sister brand Beadlight, which is also based in the UK.
