Coach Lamp
About
Inspired by the coach lights of the Indian railways, the Coach Lamp reimagines a traditional form in natural white bone china. Its compact, gently curved shade brings a quiet character to the wall, while the translucent china creates a warm, ambient light when illuminated. Made in Stoke-on-Trent, the Coach Lamp is suited to indoor spaces where a more intimate source of light is welcome.
Place it beside a bed, along a hallway or in a living room, either on its own or in pairs to frame a space.
Manufacturing
Each bone china light is manufactured according to traditional methods by our highly skilled team in Stoke-on-Trent. The process, which takes multiple days, begins with a slip (clay and water mix) being poured into moulds. Once set, the moulds are split and the shade, base or ceiling rose is removed and left overnight to dry before being sponged and fettled to remove any imperfections.
The items are finally biscuit fired or dipped in a glaze and gloss-fired for a natural white finish.
