About
The Box Light collection traces back to London’s East India Docks in the 1880s, where robust materials and practical construction shaped the original Davey Lighting designs. The Small Box Wall Light has a crisp, factory-inspired form with enough detail to feel considered on both traditional and contemporary exteriors. Weathered Brass adds warmth and a naturally aged character, making the design well suited to front doors, bathrooms, garden walls and hospitality or residential projects.
This wall light is IP44 rated for bathrooms and exterior use. Clear or frosted glass windows create either a sharper or more diffused glow. Externally applied glass panels with brass beaded frames add depth, shadow and crafted detail. An internally glazed version is also available for a cleaner, more enclosed profile.
Manufacturing
Each Box Light is handmade in our Oxfordshire metalworks from individual brass elements. The frame, base and body are carefully formed, aligned and soldered by hand to create a strong, precise structure. Once assembled, the brass is sanded before being dipped into a weathering bath, giving the finish its warmth, depth and naturally aged character.
The clear or frosted glass windows are cut by hand and fitted to the frame, sitting neatly within or against it depending on the design. The fixture is then wired and fully checked by our assembly team on site.
